The 35/70GB DLT drive is 4 times as fast with over twice the capacity of the 15/30GB DLT drive. This new tape drive changes the nature of the backup window from worrying about if the drive can fit into the time available to minimizing the impact on performance of concurrent end-user and backup tasks.
