The HP ProLiant DL100 Storage Server offers an entry-level Networked Attached Storage (NAS) solution that delivers quick-to-install simple-to-manage networked storage with multi-protocol file sharing print serving and Microsoft Exchange data repository which is perfect for small or branch office locations. The Windows Storage Server 2003 NAS operating system is pre-installed and optimized for the DL100 Storage Server and includes HP-specific management tools. The hardware is also pre-configured and optimized allowing the DL100 Storage Server to be up and running in minutes. The DL100 Storage Server includes hardware RAID for greater performance and future support of an external storage enclosure. In a small or branch office the DL100 Storage Server can serve as the file storage device hosting local user files and Microsoft Exchange database and log files. The DL100 Storage Server can also serve as the local print server. With optional host-based data replication and failover capabilities using HP OpenView Storage Mirroring data can be automatically exchanged with a main office meeting business continuity requirements. The DL100 Storage Server offers customers quick restore functionality via DVD and dual-OS partitions. In the event the DL100 Storage Server needs to be restored a Quick Restore DVD allows you to be up and running with a factory default image in minutes not hours.
